We believe that God's idea for orphan care is the family!  That is why we have made Adoption and Family Foster Support a priority of the Orphan Care Initiative.

Our Adoption Support Team helps Foster and Adoptive Families in the following ways:

    •  Provides resources for those who are interested in adoption or foster care.
    •  Provides the framework for a nurturing, connected, and supportive network of adoptive and foster families in our church community.
    • Provides opportunities for all members of Saddleback Church to provide indirect orphan care (donating notary services or frequent flyer miles, providing meals, diapers, or baby showers, etc).
    • For more information on our Adoption Support Team, email orphans@saddleback.com

    PRIDE Training

PRIDE training is your introduction to becoming a licensed foster or adoptive parent in Orange County and providing a safe home for a vulnerable child. Saddleback Church hosts the PRIDE training as part of the Orphan Care Connection.

The training strengthens the quality of family foster care and adoption services. It provides a standardized, consistent, structured curriculum and support for prospective foster and adoptive families. The classes are taught by a team of experienced foster and adoptive parents and social workers. The training fulfills the applicants' licensing requirement to attend 18 hours of specialized training.

The series consists of six classes, one class per week for a total of six weeks.
